Arla appoints Cheese Cluster Director in Sweden

Arla has announced that Christian Svensson will take on the role of Cheese Cluster Director in Sweden, effective 1 December. Svensson will assume the new responsibility alongside his current position as Site Director in Falkenberg.

In his expanded role, Svensson will oversee operations across the company’s Swedish cheese sites in Kalmar, Kvibille, Falköping, Östersund and Falkenberg, and will report to Anna Schreil, SVP E2E Supply Chain Sweden & Finland. The appointment marks the final step in establishing Arla’s new organizational structure with cluster leads across the Swedish and Finnish end-to-end supply chain.

Svensson joined Arla in 2011 as a Senior Lean Project Consultant in the Global Supply Chain Efficiency team. Over the following years, he played a key role in continuous improvement initiatives, complexity reduction, process harmonization, footprint planning, and change management across Sweden and Germany.

In 2017, he moved to Denmark to lead major production optimization and transformation programmes. He returned to Sweden in 2020 to take up the role of Site Director at Arla’s Falkenberg dairy.

Holding an MSc in Industrial Engineering and previous experience from Volvo as a management trainee and internal management consultant, Svensson brings a strong operational and strategic background to his new role.

Arla states that his deep industry insight and extensive experience in transformation, lean leadership, and operational optimization will be central as the company continues to strengthen its end-to-end supply chain in Sweden and Finland.
