Norrmejerier reported a 2024 profit of just over 40 million SEK, moving the cooperative closer to its financial ownership goal of achieving a 2 percent operating profit margin.
At the annual general meeting held in Umeå on May 5, members approved the financial statements and the board’s proposed distribution of profits. A total of SEK 29 million will be returned to members through a capital issue and interest on invested capital—equivalent to SEK 0.15 per kilogram of milk delivered.
- The fact that we nearly reached one of our core ownership goals—landing at 1.9 percent—is very encouraging, said Göran Olofsson, Chairman of the Board, adding:
- This enables improved compensation for our dairy farmers and strengthens the foundation for continued development of our business.
The meeting also confirmed the board composition for the coming business year.
