Norrmejerier recruits quality manager from Cytiva

Norrmejerier’s new quality manager Mia Ingvarsson aims to ensure that every liter of milk produced by Norrmejerier maintains the highest possible quality, from farm to kitchen table.

As quality manager at Norrmejerier, Mia is responsible for the company’s overall quality operations. This includes areas such as policy development, crisis management, risk assessments, document control, and regulatory compliance. She will also lead a quality team that is key to Norrmejerier’s goal of delivering world-class production and logistics. The quality department is being strengthened with a production-focused quality team led by Agneta Edlund. This team, consisting of quality coordinators, supports production with routines, instructions, quality controls, and improvement efforts.

Mia holds an engineering degree in technical natural science chemistry and a Ph.D. in environmental chemistry. She has more than 12 years of experience in quality work, both as a consultant and in leadership roles. She had several roles in Quality Assurance (QA) at Cytiva’s plant in Umeå, where she spent the past 5.5 years as the head of the QA department.
For Mia, this is not just a new role—it’s also a step closer to her northern Swedish roots:
– I have spent almost 12 years working in large global companies on quality, and when the position as quality manager at Norrmejerier became available, I felt the timing was perfect. Being part of Norrmejerier’s work for long-term and profitable milk production feels very important and exciting, Mia says and adds:

  • Like so many others in northern Sweden, I have grandparents and uncles who ran farms and watched them grow into large dairy farms. Now I want to contribute to ensuring that every liter of milk we produce is of the highest possible quality, from farm to kitchen table.
