Every liter of milk contributes to the fight against prostate cancer

Skånemejerier is launching a campaign in support of ‘Mustaschkampen’ also known as Movember. The hope is that the well-known milk moustache will encourage more people to engage in the battle against prostate cancer.

Skånemejerier is the new main partner of ‘Mustaschkampen’, the Prostate Cancer Association’s campaign to support research, development, and better care while spreading knowledge about prostate cancer. During the month of November, Skånemejerier will donate 1 Swedish crown to Mustaschkampen for every sold package of fresh milk, with a limit of 200,000 packages.

– This is Sweden’s most common form of cancer, and we want to get involved and bring more people into the fight. By using such a beloved food item like milk, we can reach a lot of households, says Anette Gregow, Communications and Sustainability Director at Skånemejerier.

Leading up to November, Skånemejerier will roll out the campaign on packaging, on social media, and in stores throughout southern Sweden. Store milk coolers will be decorated with milk moustaches that consumers can be photographed with, and milk moustaches can also be downloaded as a filter for Instagram.

The moustache has internationally become a strong symbol in the fight against prostate cancer. So why not a milk moustache?
