Sweden to Host Global Dairy Conference

For the first time ever, Sweden will host the IDF (International Dairy Federation) Joint Conference on Mastitis and Milking Technology, taking place in Stockholm in March 2026.

– This opportunity to host the 2026 event is a testament to Sweden’s standing as a leading dairy nation. It’s an honour and a recognition of the great work being done by Swedish dairy farmers, and everyone involved in advancing the Swedish dairy industry, says LRF Milk’s quality expert, Hasitha Priyashantha. He is co-chairing the organizing committee alongside Carl Oskar Paulrud from DeLaval and Sigrid Agenäs from SLU.

The global 3-days event will unite researchers, industry leaders, veterinarians, and dairy farmers to discuss the latest advancements in milking machinery, udder/teat cleaning, milk quality, mastitis prevention, detection, and treatment, as well as other aspects of udder health and lactation, promoting sustainable and productive dairy farming.

– This will be a unique opportunity for participants to network and gain insights into the latest research and technologies shaping the future of the dairy industry,” adds Hasitha Priyashantha.
