Greve to step down as Växa plans CEO transition

Växa has announced that its long-serving chief executive, Dorit Greve, will step down in 2026 after eleven years in the role. The incoming CEO will be responsible for leading an update of the organisation’s strategic plan.

According to Växa,- Swedens largest livestock association – 2026 is a natural point for a change in leadership as the company prepares a new strategy looking towards 2030. Växa holds a strong position as a knowledge and service company supporting the development of Sweden’s dairy and beef enterprises. A decade ago, the organisation set a clear goal to increase national milk and beef production, a priority that remains central to its current vision and Strategy 2027.

  • Dorit Greve’s drive and ability to lead and develop Växa have laid the foundations for the strong position we hold today, says Magnus Carlman, Chair of the Board, in a press release from Växa. “
  • Together with Dorit, the board agrees that the time is right for a CEO change as we update our strategy and address technological progress, a new CAP framework and a changing global environment, he adds.

Reflecting on her tenure, Dorit Greve says she is proud of what has been achieved. During her time as CEO, Växa’s turnover increased from around SEK 350 million to just over SEK 550 million. The company has also worked to become a more attractive employer, an important priority in a knowledge-based organisation. She notes that Växa’s long-term goal of increased milk and beef production is now supported across the industry, including by policymakers.

Dorit Greve will formally leave her position at Växa’s annual general meeting in May 2026. The recruitment process for a new CEO is already under way.
