Skånemejerier donates to prostate cancer research

Throughout November, Skånemejerier will donate SEK 1 for every litre of milk sold to the Prostate Cancer Association.

Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in Sweden, affecting around 10,000 men every year. For the third year running, Skånemejerier is supporting the fight against prostate cancer through its participation in “The Moustache Campaign”, organised by the Prostate Cancer Association.

The aim is to support research, development and improved care, as well as to raise awareness about prostate cancer. In addition to the donation, Skånemejerier wants to increase public awareness by letting the iconic milk moustache feature on everything from milk cartons to in-store displays.

  • Contributing to the fight against prostate cancer is a given for us. By using our products and our presence in stores, we want not only to raise funds but also to spark conversations and spread knowledge about a disease that affects so many, says Anette Gregow, Director of Communications and Sustainability at Skånemejerier.

In addition to the milk cartons, grocery stores across Skåne will be decorated with milk moustaches and signs highlighting the Moustache Campaign. Skånemejerier estimates that the campaign’s message will reach nearly 60 percent of Skåne’s population.
