On Thursday, September 4, Norrmejerier invites the public to an open house at Luleå Dairy, which will soon close after more than 60 years of operation.
Two years ago, Norrmejerier’s board decided to discontinue production in Luleå. As a result, all production of cultured milk, regular milk, and cream will be relocated to the dairy in Umeå.
For more than six decades, Luleå Dairy has been a cornerstone of Norrmejerier’s production. Now, before the doors close for good, the dairy is opening its doors for guided tours—complete with milk and buns. The event runs from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 4.
- Experience the full journey of milk: from its delivery by tanker truck to the finished product on its way to the store. Meet our dairy employees, local farmers, and representatives from management. Together, we will look back on the history of Luleå Dairy and ahead to the future of Norrmejerier. So, it says in the invitation.
