Norrmejerier, Sweden’s leading producer of flavored fil, has reported strong performance following the successful national rollout of its spring product range.
The national campaign has further solidified the company’s position in the fil category. Today, over half of all flavored filsold in Sweden originates from Norrland.
The February launch marked a strategic step in Norrmejerier’s long-term national growth agenda. More than just an expanded portfolio, the initiative reflects the company’s ambition to establish a stronger presence across Sweden by sharing the values and tastes of northern Sweden. The rollout is part of a broader plan to scale operations, improve profitability, and unify its product lines—Västerbottensost, Verum, and Fjällfil—under the Norrmejerier brand, with a clear focus on origin, premium quality, and 100% Norrland-sourced milk.
The initial market response has exceeded expectations. Verum Hälsofil Blåbär remains the top-selling flavored fil in Sweden, closely followed by Verum Hälsofil Jordgubb/Smultron. The newly launched Norrskensfil performed at twice the projected volume, while Verum Filmjölk Jordgubb/Kiwi achieved triple its sales forecast. The seasonal product Fjällfil Svarta Vinbär recorded four times higher sales than anticipated.
