DSV’s cutting-edge logistics center in Landskrona has now officially opened, with Danone being one of its key tenants, reports Food-supply.se.
The facility spans an impressive 175,000 square meters and includes two warehouses measuring 100,000 and 75,000 square meters, respectively. After two years of construction, the site is now ready for operations, and Danone has already begun utilizing the space.
– We are thrilled to partner with DSV. Together, we see numerous opportunities to streamline our supply chain and enhance productivity, said Lina Nilsson, COO of Danone Nordics and Baltics, in an earlier press release.
From this new logistics hub in Landskrona, DSV will oversee Danone’s entire supply chain, including warehouse management and transportation throughout the Nordic region.
The center features two temperature-controlled zones designed to provide optimal storage conditions for fast-moving consumer goods, ensuring product quality is preserved.
To support the facility’s energy demands and promote sustainability, DSV has installed a vast 100,000 square meter solar panel array on the roof (Photo) This system will meet the center’s energy needs, with any surplus stored for electric vehicle charging. Additional excess energy is planned to be fed back into the local power grid.
