Wednesday, 18. September, Arla recalled the product Arla Cultura Onaka Naturell Filmjölk because the packaging incorrectly states that the product is lactose-free.
The new Onaka packages are mislabelled. Onaka filmjölk contains 3.8 grams of lactose, not 0 grams as it says on the back of the carton.
– We take this incident seriously and are therefore recalling all Onaka packages with the specified best-before dates. At the same time, we have launched an investigation into how the mislabeling occurred. We apologize for this; it is important that consumers feel safe with our products, says Johanna Ryssnäs, quality manager at Arla.
Due to the mislabeled packaging material, it may take a few weeks before Onaka yogurt is back in the dairy aisle, she adds
It has only been a week since the Arla Cultura brand was launched in the stores. The brand brings together fermented products like Kefir, Onaka, and Dofilus under a new design.
