SLU is recognized as one of the premier universities for agriculture

SLU is ranked as the world’s fourth-best university in the field of agriculture, according to the organization QS.

QS recently unveiled its 2024 rankings of universities worldwide, covering 55 subjects across five major areas of study. In the realm of agriculture and forestry, Wageningen University & Research leads the pack, with the University of California, Davis, and Cornell University following closely. Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) based in Uppsala, secures its place as the fourth-ranked institution in this list.

SLU has been ranked in third or fourth place since 2017, so the university has maintained its position. In the field of veterinary medicine, SLU ranks 23rd in the world, and 71st in environmental science.

The 20th edition of the QS World University Rankings features 1,500 institutions across 104 locations and is the only ranking of its kind to emphasize employability and sustainability.
