On September 8 the Swedish Food Agency, Livsmedelsverket closed Al Hana Mejeri AB in Bjärnum and banned the company from selling food.
The reason for closing the company is unacceptable hygienic conditions, Livsmedelsverket states in a press release. Therefore, all food manufactured or sold by the company must be removed from stores and disposed of.
The company primarily manufactures dairy products such as yogurt and cheese but has also among other things sold olive oil. The company has mostly sold to a small number of stores in Skåne.
The ban applies to all foods from the company and products labelled Al Hana Mejeri.
