Many Swedes are worried about reduced food production

A new survey shows that 6 out of 10 Swedes are worried that Swedish food production is declining due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The survey, which was commissioned by LRF, also shows that 7 out of 10 believe that it is the government’s responsibility to ensure Swedish security of supply. The background for the survey is, that the already historically high-cost situation for agriculture rose further, when Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24. The situation has led more farmers to phase out or reduce their production.
