Arla encourages both employees and external parties to apply for the Dairy Technician program. Employees at Arla who are nominated will receive a salary during the training.
Few weeks ago, the report ”The future of jobs in milk and dairy” was mentioned in this forum. The report showed a big need to recruit more employees to most Arla’s dairies in the coming years – 100 people will be needed in 2022.
To meet the need for recruitment and the lack of skills, Arla and the rest of the industry have started the Dairy Technician program together with Lernia.
– The dairy technician program is an important way for us to develop our existing employees, at the same time as we want to recruit already trained people to our dairies. That is why we look both internally and externally for people who can attend the training, Maria Lund, head of training, Arla Sweden says.
The dairy technician program is 1.5 years old and consists of 24 weeks of internship at a dairy and training at Arla’s dairy in Götene and at Kold College in Odense, Denmark.
Arla-employees who are nominated will receive a salary during the training. Registration for program is open until 31 May 2022.
