The scene is set for a new grill-cheese season

The Swedish market for grill has been growing rapidly the last years – and several Swedish cheeses has entered the scene. February brought news from Dalsspira and Norrmejerier.

Dalsspira dairy has entered two cooperation agreement, starting here in February. The dairy is going to produce the cheese to Sibylla’s newly launched Swedish Grill cheese burger. And Dalsspira has also made an agreement to produce grilled cheese for Svenska Hamburgare AB. The cheese is a new product to the market, where the cheese will be sold as frozen pieces in multipacks.

Also Norrmejerier launched a new Swedish grill cheese in the Supermarkets this week. The cheese, called Grilloumi, is the result of a collaboration between Fontana — who was the first with the original halloumi on the Swedish marked — and Normejerier.

– When we at Fontana enter a collaboration with other companies, it is very important, that you share the same values. We have this connection with Norrmejerier, and therefore it is both fun and rewarding to work together. When it comes to the cheese, Grilloumi, that we have produced ourselves, it becomes extra important that everything works well, says Fontana’s CEO Loizos Papadopoulos in a comment.

The new cheese is launched in ica, Coop, City Gross, Willys and Hemköp.
