Another Record-Breaking Year for the International Cheese Awards

The International Cheese Awards at Nantwich continues to be the biggest and best cheese show in the world, breaking yet another set of records at this year’s show. 2015’s all-time high of 4,615 entries, was surpassed with total of 5,000 entries from around the world. Nearly half of these (47%) were from overseas, making us a truly international show!

More than 200 expert judges started the process of tasting and testing all the entries at 9am this morning, and eventually announced the Champion Overseas, Supreme Champion and winner of the Westminster Cup 2016 as Treur Kaas for their aged Jerseyhoeve Schorren – going one better than last year. Reserve Supreme Champion and Reserve Champion Overseas was awarded to Elite Imports, whilst Champion UK went to Arla Foods with a Double Gloucester from Taw Valley Creamery.
