Saputo Inc. has acquired Woolwich Dairy Inc., a manufacturer of branded and private label goat cheese in North America, for $80 million in cash.
The deal expands Saputo’s presence in the specialty cheese category in North America. As one of the top 10 dairy processors in the world, Saputo produces, markets and distributes a wide range of dairy products.
